For the 2019 US Open, American Express transformed its 20,000-square-foot Fan Experience into Tennis City—an immersive celebration bringing together the energy of tennis and the visual culture of New York City.
Working with FAILE, I helped develop a series of original illustrations representing New York’s five boroughs, combining recognizable landmarks, typography, tennis iconography, and the studio’s graphic visual language. The artwork was translated onto a large-scale LED gameboard for Borough Ball, an interactive motion-sensor experience where guests became part of the game itself.
